Privacy Notice for Loco customers and website visitors

This Privacy Notice explains how Loco collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, create an account, use our dashboard or point-of-sale products, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services.

In this notice, “Loco,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Loco entity responsible for providing the service you use. “Services” includes our websites, applications, dashboards, support, communications, and related business tools.

When a business uses Loco to process information about its own customers or staff, that business may be responsible for deciding how the information is used. Please contact the business directly for questions about its privacy practices.

Information we collect about you

Information about your customers

Businesses may use Loco to record information about their customers. Depending on the features used, this can include names, contact details, purchase history, receipts, loyalty activity, invoice balances, notes, and order details.

We process this information to provide the Services requested by the business, such as completing a sale, issuing a receipt, maintaining a customer directory, operating loyalty features, or generating business reports. Businesses are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any permissions required for their use of customer information.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and secure Loco accounts;
  • provide checkout, inventory, customer, team, invoice, and reporting features;
  • process requests, transactions, subscriptions, and service communications;
  • personalize setup and improve product usability and performance;
  • provide support and respond to sales, privacy, or technical inquiries;
  • detect misuse, investigate incidents, and protect users and the Services;

  • Update account and profile details through your Loco settings.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in optional marketing emails.
  • Contact the relevant business for data it controls about you as its customer.
  • Email us to submit a privacy request or ask a question.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.

Children's personal information

Loco provides business services and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children who are not permitted to consent under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information to us inappropriately, please contact us.

International processing

Loco and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and take steps designed to ensure information receives protection consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Notice as our products, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated notice here, revise the “Last updated” date, and provide additional notice where required.
